Every ward needs something like this to help us see another side of being in hospital, or even working and studying in the hospital. I don't know who KJC is, but thank you for your beautiful words!
Here is life
Life is not on hold,
put aside until you get home,
Living happens here.
Here you will see a fullness of being human
that you may not notice when you are well and busy in the everyday.
But here in this place you will see...
- beauty in the face of a woman who has seen ninety-three summers
- courage in the determination of a man who must learn to walk again
- kindness from a lifelong partner and from a complete stranger
While you are here experience the deepness of being human
really human
and take home joy from that discovery

Beautiful words..Thats reminds me, 2 weeks ago i wrote an essay on therapeutic relationship b/w a patient and nurse..Those wise words have given more insight and depth to my understanding of a nurse/doctor's communication with patients...
hi sanat, was the essay for uni? I thought you weren't studying health related things? ;) glad you enjoyed reading it!
hey winnie, i have a course in IT called professional communication..we had an assignment to write an essay on key issues in communication in any professional field(journalism, IT, lawyer, etc)..i chose nursing cz it interests me a lot...so i borrowed 3 books from library on nursing and read it!!!it was pretty interesting..and i've had a couple of hospital experiences too (as patient :P) so i understand wat it means to be a doc or nurse...btw which hospital in ballarat are u practising?
